A Letter from Autumn

Good morning friends, Since our last newsletter, Family Promise of Cobb County has been busy! We helped families prepare their children for a successful start to the new school year and celebrated another Annual Golf Classic, bringing our community together in support of families with children. As we move into the fall, our focus remains the same: helping families move from housing crisis to stability. Through our Rotational Shelter and Eviction Prevention programs, we provide safe shelter for families experiencing homelessness while helping other families remain safely in the homes they already have. So far in 2026, we have served 97 families - 102 parents and 218 children. Behind every number is a family working toward a more stable future and every success is made possible because of you - our donors, volunteers, congregations and community partners. Upcoming Events  Here are the 3 events/ fundraisers we are doing the remaining of 2026: Essentials Supply Drive: October 2026 - we'll be collecting the following items: - Trash bags, cleaning supplies, hand soap, contractor bags, paper towels - Shampoo/Conditioner, Body Wash, Deodorant, lotion - Gas Cards (Walmart, Kroger, QT, RaceTrac) - Grocery Cards (Kroger, Walmart, Target) - And don't forget these much-needed items on our Amazon Wish List! Cobb Community Foundation Match Magic: November 10 - December 1 - get ready to magically double your gift with us! End of Year Campaign: Open through December 31 Together, we are keeping families together, children safely housed, and hope within reach. We are excited about what the remainder of 2026 will bring as we continue working together to make an even greater impact for families across Cobb County. With Gratitude,

Our 11th Annual Golf Classic turned out to be an amazing day - thanks to you!

A very special shoutout to Beth Moore, Chair of the 11th Annual Family Promise of Cobb County Golf Classic!

This year’s Golf Classic had an incredible champion behind the scenes. Beth Moore stepped up in a big way to help bring this year’s event together - securing sponsorship support, recruiting golfers, helping plan the many details of the tournament and lending her time, energy and leadership wherever it was needed.

Pulling off an event like this takes a tremendous amount of work, and Beth’s dedication to making the 11th Annual Golf Classic a success made a meaningful difference for our team and, ultimately, for the families we serve. Beth, thank you for showing up, stepping up and giving so generously of your time and talents. We are incredibly grateful for you! 💙

Our Executive Director Speaks at RaceTrac

Rise Together: Community in Action

Family Promise of Cobb County Executive Director Autumn Sines recently joined local leaders for RaceTrac’s Rise Together Tuesday, a community conversation exploring how engagement and collaboration can change trajectories for families and communities. Autumn joined Rodney Bullard, CEO of The Same House; Andrea Smith, CRO of Latin American Association; and Erin Stieglitz, Executive Director of Bagel Rescue, with Nicole Willis of RaceTrac Special Projects helping lead the conversation.

RaceTrac employees then put that spirit of community into action, generously donating 100 backpacks to Family Promise and 50 school supply kits to Circles Cobb. Family Promise distributed the backpacks to two local preschools serving families in need and to students within Marietta City Schools. We’re grateful to RaceTrac and everyone who participated for creating space to connect, learn - and make a tangible difference for local families.

St. Peter & St. Paul Trains Volunteer Coordinators on Hosting Families

Tom G. and St. Peter & St. Paul Episcopal Church for helping strengthen the network of support surrounding Family Promise of Cobb County families. Tom recently trained volunteer coordinators on what it takes to prepare for and host families in our program. Our congregational partners and volunteers play an important role in creating a welcoming, supportive environment for families experiencing housing instability. We’re grateful for those who give their time to learn, prepare and help families feel at home.

Match Magic is Coming!

We’re in! Family Promise of Cobb County is honored to be one of 31 local nonprofits selected to participate in Cobb Community Foundation’s Match Magic 2026! For the families we serve, safe, stable housing can change everything. Through eviction prevention, shelter, professional case management and the support of our incredible Cobb community, we help families with children move from housing instability toward stability and independence. Being selected for Match Magic gives our community an opportunity to make that support go even further during one of the most important giving seasons of the year. We’re grateful to Cobb Community Foundation for selecting Family Promise - and excited to share more about how you can help us make some Match Magic for Cobb families this fall. Match Magic begins November 10 and runs through December 1. Get ready!
