Signs of Autumn, Stories of Hope & a Little Match Magic!

A Letter from Our Executive DIrector, Autumn Sines

Good morning friends, There are many “Sines of Autumn” all around us: cooler weather, leaves changing colors, and a calendar filling up with year-end events. It is hard to believe we are already approaching the end of another year!

I am excited to share that Family Promise of Cobb County has assisted more than 100 families so far in 2026! When I became Executive Director, one of my goals was to expand our reach and help more families with children facing housing instability. Whether through our Rotational Shelter Program, Eviction Prevention assistance, or providing food and personal care items, I wanted Family Promise to be a place where families could turn for support when they needed it most. We have experienced an incredible 80% growth since 2024!

While I am proud of this growth and the milestones we are reaching, I know none of it would be possible without YOU. You make beds, prepare meals, provide essential supplies, and give generously of your time. But perhaps most importantly, you build relationships with our guest families. You offer encouragement, kindness, and a sense of belonging during some of the most challenging moments in their lives. Our success is your success, and I cannot thank you enough for all you do.

In this newsletter, you will also read about an exciting opportunity! Family Promise of Cobb County has been selected as one of just 31 nonprofits to participate in the Cobb Community Foundation's Match Magic event! Our goal is to raise $10,000, with the opportunity to receive additional matching funds from the Foundation. This is a wonderful chance to make your generosity go even further and help us continue serving families right here in Cobb County. End of Year Campaign: Open through December 31 As we head into the final months of the year, I am filled with gratitude for how far we have come and excitement for what lies ahead. Thank you for believing in our mission, supporting our families, and being the heart of Family Promise of Cobb County.

Together, we are doing more than providing shelter. We are helping families build brighter, more stable futures.

✨A Little Magic Can Make a BIG Difference!

Family Promise Is Part of Match Magic 2026!

We are thrilled to be one of just 31 Cobb County nonprofits selected to participate in the Cobb Community Foundation's Match Magic 2026 giving campaign!

What is Match Magic?

Match Magic is a special community giving initiative that brings local nonprofits and generous donors together, creating opportunities for participating organizations to receive additional matching funds and expand their impact.

For Family Promise, this opportunity is about more than fundraising. It's about introducing more of our Cobb County neighbors to the families we serve, the challenges they face, and the life-changing difference our community can make.

With calls for assistance continuing to rise, the need has never been clearer. Every additional dollar helps us work toward assisting more families facing eviction, homelessness, and housing instability.

Our goal: Raise $10,000 to help more Cobb families find and maintain housing stability!

Join Us for the Match Magic Power Hour!

Tuesday, November 10, 2026 10:30-11:30 AM The Battery Atlanta | You can also join us on Instagram live!

981 Calls Answered. And the Need Continues.

Behind every call is a person looking for answers, assistance, or hope.

Through September, Family Promise answered 981 calls for help and information. As more Cobb families face rising housing costs and financial uncertainty, requests for assistance continue to challenge our available resources.

That's why opportunities like Match Magic matter so much.
