Honoring the Families Who Found Their Way Home

At Family Promise of Cobb County, we define success in many ways: the smile of a child with a full stomach, the confidence of a parent securing stable employment, and most importantly, the moment a family moves into their own home. This year, we’re thrilled to celebrate 11 families who have graduated from our program!

Each of these families faced unique challenges, but with courage, determination, and your support, they’ve achieved incredible milestones. Today, we honor their journeys and share the stories that inspire us daily.

Wendell: Turning Challenges into Opportunities

Wendell, a devoted father of two, has transformed his life since graduating from our program. He’s found love, gotten married, and now lives with his new wife and children in a cozy apartment in Cobb County. His story is a testament to resilience and new beginnings.

Trina and Simon: Building a Stable Foundation for Their Family

Despite battling health problems and financial difficulties, Trina and Simon never gave up. With two teenagers depending on them, they worked tirelessly to rebuild their lives. Today, both are employed and thriving, with reliable transportation and a stable home.

Flora: Embracing a Future Filled with Possibilities

Flora, a specialty nurse at Emory Hospital, has created a bright future for herself and her children. Her dedication and hard work have allowed her family to flourish.

Johnathan and Lindsey: A Journey of Renewal and Hope

This family has achieved stability and joy in East Cobb. With both parents employed and their three children thriving, their new home is a place of happiness and renewal.

Lataesha: Finding Strength in the Face of Adversity

Lataesha’s son, Zumari, who has special needs, can now stay in the school program he loves. Their new home, complete with a yard he adores, has provided the stability and support they needed.

Shamichael: Creating a Safe Haven for Her Children

Shamichael and her three sons are thriving in their tiny home. It’s a safe and happy space where they can grow together as a family and continue to build stability.

Rameria: Rediscovering Confidence and Joy

Rameria has found a fresh start in a Powder Springs apartment. She and her children's journey is one of rediscovery and hope.

Mariah’s path took her from Arizona back to Marietta, where she was reunited with her children. Her story highlights the power of persistence and family reunification.

Tricia: Finding Peace in a New Place to Call Home
